The “pink” or “seed” moon is the moon that appears in April. Also called Sprouting Grass Moon, Fish Moon, Growing Moon, Waking Moon.
During this month there was also a lunar eclipse and I was sooooo looking forward to it, counting the days, hours, minutes, etc… but then the day arrived and it was CLOUDY!!! Grrrr… ah well, I managed to get a fairly decent sunset shot.
So the following day as the moon was still big and fat and the sky much clearer, I went out to one of the more popular beaches near San José, Playa de Mónsul, as featured in the film “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” – the scene where Sean Connery uses an umbrella to scare the seagulls into the path of an enemy plane.
…and the scene from Indian Jones and the Last Crusade.
So, this time I tried a different technique and rather than show the star trails, I tried to show the stars twinkling in a starry starry night kind of way… but first, please allow me to introduce you to the evening’s host, the moon 🙂
And now a gallery of some of the better photographs of the evening.
