The innocence of childhood

There was a time when we would innocently watch cowboys & injuns on TV and imitate them at school by rolling up handkerchiefs to look like guns and sticks for arrows. Oh the innocence, we didn’t care much for political correctness and didn’t think or even know about racism, genderism, sexism, thisism, thatism – we just carried on being friends with everyone and respecting our neighbours unquestionably (well most of us anyways).

Now I’m not saying that a more politically correct society is better or worse, just pointing out the innocence of childhood.
