I’ve had a few enquiries now about photography experiences at film locations and being a bit of a film buff myself, I’m really looking forward to the opportunity of showing people around and walking in the footsteps of Sergio Leone, Steven Spielberg, David Lean, et al…
There are some truly stunning locations in the Parque Natural de Cabo de Gata and once you’ve been here, it’s easy to see why film directors favour this area.
I’ve found a website that has comparison photographs of then (as depicted in the films) and now, well actually the “now” photographs were taken mostly within the first half of the last decade. Have a look at http://www.fistfuloflocations.com/ and see. Then why not make a date with us to come a visit some of these areas for yourself? I would love to welcome you all to this beautiful part of the world.
A popular location near Los Albaricoques in the Parque Natural de Cabo de Gata, Cortijo de los Frailes has been used in many films. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, I am the Revolution and more recently the spaghetti western spoof, Fistful of Travellers Cheques (with Rik Mayall & Adrian Edmonson) were all filmed here. Not forgetting of course Federico Lorca’s 1932 seminal play, Bodas de Sangre (Blood Wedding), featuring a crime of passion that took place near here.
Hope to see you all soon!
